Tbilisi (GBC) - In January-October 2022 the external merchandise trade (excluding non-declared trade) of Georgia amounted to USD 15 228.4 million, 33.5% higher to the same period of 2021. The exports equaled USD 4 .5 billion (34.0 percent higher), while the imports stood at USD 10.7 billion (33.3 percent higher).

The negative trade balance was USD 6 136.4 million in January-October 2022 and its share in external trade turnover constituted 40.3 percent.

In January-October 2022 the share of the top ten trading partners by exports in the total exports of Georgia amounted to 78.9 percent. The top partners were China (USD 607.5 million), Azerbaijan (USD 541.7 million) and Russia (USD 530.3 million).
