Tbilisi (GBC) - In Q3 2024 the nominal Gross Domestic Product (GDP) amounted to GEL 24 855.7 million. The real GDP increased by 11% YoY, while the GDP deflator percentage change equaled to 4.3%, - according to the National Statistics Office of Georgia (Geostat).
As of the document, significant contributions to the real GDP growth in Q3 2024 is related to increase of valueadded of the following activities: Construction (30.9 percent), Information and communication (32.8 percent), Wholesale and retail trade; repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles (11.0 percent), Education (35.6 percent), Financial and insurance activities (22.9 percent), Public administration and defence; compulsory social security (14.7 percent).
A decrease in the real value-added occurred in Real estate activities (-4.9 percent), Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply (-13.6 percent).
The largest share in GDP by activity is held by Trade (15.4 percent) and Manufacturing (9.7 percent), followed by Real estate activities (9.3 percent), Construction (8.7 percent), Agriculture, forestry and fishing (7.4 percent), Information and communication (6.4 percent), Public administration (6.2 percent), Transportation and storage (5.9 percent).
