Tbilisi (GBC) - In 2024, citizens' complaints filed in the Georgian National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission (GNERC) mainly concerned groundless billings made by electricity, natural gas or water supply utility companies, - according to the regulator body.
As of the body, according to the decisions of the Georgian National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission, last year, citizens were charged up to 2 million GEL in groundless amounts. In addition, due to violations of service standards, in accordance with the National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission's regulations, 1,239,570 GEL was issued to citizens by utility companies.
More than 90% of the issues were satisfied in favor of citizens by the decisions made by the Georgian National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission. The information about this is released by the National Energy and Water Regulatory Commission itself.
