Tbilisi (GBC) - Wizz Air has resumed direct regular flights to Hamburg, Germany, operating twice a week from Davit Aghmashenebeli Kutaisi International Airport. The Union of Georgian Airports announced the successful conclusion of negotiations regarding this route.

Currently, direct regular flights from Kutaisi International Airport serve five German cities. In total, four airlines provide direct regular flights from Georgia to eight destinations in Germany. According to the Union of Georgian Airports, a total of 78,644 visitors flew to Georgia in 2024.

Wizz Air is also set to resume flights to Madrid on April 29 and will introduce a new route to Lyon starting June 3. Six airlines currently operate direct regular flights to 32 destinations across 18 countries from Kutaisi International Airport, with 24 of those destinations in Europe.
