Tbilisi (GBC) - Dollarization of Cartu’s deposit portfolio exceeds 85%.

Cartu’s foreign currency accounts have increased again, after a decline in September-October.

According to January-November statistics, the foreign currency deposit portfolio has increased by 35% and as of December 1, it is equivalent to 1.320 billion GEL in foreign currency.

Total deposits have increased, up to 1.545 billion GEL (Q3/2024 – 1.245 billion).

More than half of Cartu’s deposit portfolio are current accounts, of which more than 80% are in foreign currency.

According to the 11-month report for 2024, the dollarization ratio of deposits has increased to 85.4%. According to the 9-month statistics, it would have fallen to 80% (Q3/2024 – 78.4%).
