Tbilisi (GBC) - Sandro Rtveladze, the former CEO of TBC UZ, moved to the position of CEO in the Uzbek branch of OTP Bank Russia, pending regulatory approvals. 

Sandro Rtveladze was the CEO of TBC UZ for 9 months in 2020, and the bank obtained a banking license in Uzbekistan under his management.

Rtveladze moved to the Russian OTP Bank, where he first worked as deputy head of retail business, and since July last year has held the position of adviser on technology, transformation and strategy.

In June 2023, the Hungarian OTP Bank closed a deal to acquire a 73.71% state stake in Ipoteka Bank. In the next three years, OTP Bank planned to buy out the remaining 25% of the shares of Ipoteka Bank, thus increasing its share in the bank to 98%. The transaction amount was $324 million.
