Tbilisi (GBC) - According to the Ministry of Environment Protection and Agriculture, from August 1, 2024 to April 23, 2025, hazelnut exports from Georgia reached 16 thousand tons, which is 20% (2.7 thousand tons) more than the same period last year. The value of exported hazelnuts has also increased by 26.5 million USD (36%) and amounts to 100.5 million USD.

The average export price of hazelnuts also increased by 13% during the reporting period and amounted to 6.29 USD per kilogram.

Georgian hazelnuts are mainly exported to the markets of the European Union, namely Italy, Spain, Germany, France, Poland and the Czech Republic. In addition, hazelnuts were exported to Armenia, China, Turkey, Israel, Russia, Algeria, and Morocco.
