Tbilisi (GBC) - Alcoholic Beverages Sector Survey conducted by the National Bank of Georgia notes that the number of active enterprises in the wine sector is increasing every year. For example, 1,137 (or 44%) out of 2,367 enterprises registered in the wine sector in 2024, were active, which is an improvement compared to 2023, when a total of 1,026 (42%) enterprises were active nationwide.

According to the NBG survey, the share of enterprises registered in the wine sector is 0.23% of the total number of enterprises registered nationwide.

As of the NBG, the wine sector in Georgia has been growing steadily over the past 10 years.

In addition, the turnover of wine-producing companies increased by 11.6% between 2014 and 2023.

The average turnover per operating wine enterprise was GEL 1 million in 2024, and GEL 1.1 million in 2023.
