Tbilisi (GBC) - Starting from March 15, Georgian citizens can replace non-electronic ID cards issued before July 28, 2011, free of charge, the Service Development Agency reported.

According to amendments to the law, starting from July 1, 2024, non-electronic identity cards issued before July 28, 2011, will be invalidated.

Beginning March 15, 2024, the Ministry of Justice will facilitate the free replacement of non-electronic ID cards with electronic ID cards.

Individuals should apply to the Houses of Justice and Mobile Houses of Justice throughout the country for the free replacement of a non-electronic ID card.
