Tbilisi (GBC) - The largest volume of remittances from Georgia is made to Turkey. However, there is an annual decrease of 7.5%.
According to the NBG’s interactive statistics, the most growing destinations in May were Azerbaijan, Armenia, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. In total, transfers to CIS countries account for 40.5% of total transfers (05/2023 - 33.6%).
Most of the expenses of Georgian visitors accounted for Turkey. Visitors to neighboring Turkey spend an average of 15.5 million GEL in matching currency per month mostly in summer.
