Tbilisi (GBC) - Deposit rates increased in December. According to the National Bank of Georgia's monthly review,
the interest rate on term deposits in lari increased by 0.5 percentage points to 11.5%, while the interest rate on term deposits in USD and Euros increased by 0.1%p to 3% and 1.8%, respectively.
From the perspective of banks, the trend in the need for GEL/USD/Euro is not unvarying.
The highest interest rates in GEL are offered by Basisbank, Liberty in USD. ProCreditbank in Euros and Bank of Georgia in GBP.

According to the National Bank of Georgia, the dollarization of deposits amounted to 53% as of 01.01.2025. The dollarization ratio of deposits of individuals increased to 64.3% in December.
