Tbilisi (GBC) – The national bank of Georgia (NBG) has registered another crypto exchange. VASP (Virtual Asset Service Provider) registration has been passed by Bitanica.

A subsidiary of Digi Capital LLC, which unlike other licensed wallets, is new to this market, has no work experience.

According to the information of "Businesspartner", at the moment there are already 3 VASPs in the NBG database (Bitanica, Cryptal, Mycoins) and 3 more companies, including Cryptomat and Coinmania, are in the final stage of registration.

The digital wallet registration fee is 5,000 GEL. Bringing crypto asset trading platforms under the supervision of NBG serves to legalize this segment and protect consumers. VASP requires appropriate software mechanisms for continuous monitoring of customer base and transactions. Among them is the security program KYC, where integration does not require large costs. The crypto address of each transaction is checked and the fee is determined by 10, 20, 50 cents depending on the volume.

About 40 companies have applied for registration as a VASP in the National Bank.
