Tbilisi (GBC) - Kobakhidze presented Khatia Tsilosani’s candidacy to Kavelashvili for the position of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe. This is stated in the government decree. Tsilosani will replace Tamar Taliashvili in this position, who has been nominated for the position of Ambassador of Georgia to the United States.
“In accordance with subparagraph “a” of Paragraph 1 of Article 52 of the Constitution of Georgia and subparagraph “g” of Article 5 of the Law of Georgia “On the Structure, Powers and Procedures of the Government of Georgia”, the candidacy of Khatia Tsilosani shall be presented to the President of Georgia for appointment to the position of Permanent Representative of Georgia to the Council of Europe from July 10, 2025,” the government decree states.
Khatia Tsilosani was a member of the 10th convocation of the Georgian Dream (2020-2024). He was also the First Deputy Chairman of the Committee on Environment and Natural Resources.
